Make money while you perform

I created TipHero along with a talented group of app engineers. I have owned a renowned music venue on the East Coast of Canada called "Gus' Pub" for the last 40 years and had the honour and privilege of hosting thousands of musicians in my time.

It's always been in my business's best interest to support local and touring artists. One day, shortly after Covid, my wife and I decided to go for a walk on Halifax's waterfront. The first person I saw was a young lady playing the violin. I reached into my pocket to see if I had cash so that I could tip her (I was trying to be a musician's advocate because I am one in my soul) but I didn't have any. I realized I hadn't had money in my pockets for over two years!

I walked past and was lamenting to my wife how the world had moved away from cash and is now virtually cashless. I started to think about how I wanted to help performers make tips. QR codes are around and everywhere but they are cumbersome and offer lots of opportunity for scams, text tapping, redirects and general frustration.

It seemed to me that to make tips easier for the performer, to have no middleman and to make things simple and not difficult for a customer wanting to give a tip, I should come up with a solution. That was when TipHero was born. The concept is simple and far ahead of any other system out there. It attracts people with its unique glowing sign and, with just two taps, sends your tip and appreciation straight to the artist's bank account. Easy.
